About Trade Tested

Trade Tested is quickly growing to be one of Australia’s top online, outdoor hardware shops. We’re a combination of new technology and good old fashioned customer service. And as we don’t have a chain of giant shops or a million staff, our prices can’t be beaten.

It all began in 2001 when we started importing a range of goods to a small garage in Auckland, New Zealand and auctioning them online. As people got more used to buying off the internet we got more used to selling. So in 2011 we set up a website just for us, www.tradetested.co.nz. Our goal – deliver people the best deals on everything for their backyards.

After about a year, we decided that Aussies could do with a better deal too. So we set up on the outskirts on Sydney, found some like minded locals and launch www.tradetested.com.au. So far it’s turned out pretty sweet. Last year we are proud to have delivered to over 30,000 people all over Australia.

Over the next few years we are going to continue to grow, adding a bunch of new product lines and categories. So if you have any questions, queries, suggestions or theories, feel free to get in touch.

Why Trade Tested

At Trade Tested, we manufacture a lot of the products you see when browsing our catalogue. Using our office in Shanghai, we are able to stay in constant contact with our suppliers. This allows us to be very hands on with the design and development process.

When we try out a new range, it all gets tested by someone at our headquarters in Auckland, NZ. We go back and forth with changes and improvements, finally ending up with something we know our customers will be happy with. Only then are we confident enough to put our sticker on the side and call it Trade Tested.

So if you have a trusted Australian brand and are keen to see your products up on our site, get in touch today. We’d love to hear from you.
