Product overview

This free-standing, cantilevered carport is a stunning addition to any property.

With its floating design and sleek dark grey finish, it’s the perfect combination of form and function in a carport.

A top quality, high intensity alloy frame is powder coated for durability and results in an exceptionally strong structure. Backed by a 5 Year Limited Warranty, you know it’s designed to handle Australian conditions.

The solid polycarbonate roofing panels feature a dark grey tint and an anti-UV coating that blocks 98% of harmful UV rays, essential for protecting exposed skin and car paint finishes. Highly impact resistant, the panels are approximately 200 times stronger than glass of the same thickness and feature excellent insulating properties, creating a cool shady area on those hot Aussie summer days.

The cantilever design is great for areas with minimal room for anchoring, making these structures extremely versatile. As well as a carport, it’s perfect for patio areas, next to the pool, over the deck or for making your barbecue area an all-weather, year round outdoor kitchen.

Installation should be in a sheltered location and we recommend using concrete footings, especially in windy areas. Concrete footings should measure W 50cm x D 50cm x H 60cm.

A stylish and versatile addition to any home, transform your driveway or outdoor entertainment area by ordering yours today.

q: I realise regulations vary from one area to another but - in general - is council consent required to erect one of these carports?
a: This one is under 20m2, so it should be fine. However, we always recommend double checking with your local council.

q: Does this carport come with building instructions?
a: Yes it does.

q: How high is it at it's lowest point? How far in are the posts from either end? How high are the posts?
a: The post is 3m, however we recommend 50cm deep footings so the the internal height to the beam would be 2.5m. The posts are 3500mm apart, so 920mm from the end (taking post width into account).

q: Height is listed as 3m can this be higher to cover a motorhome
a: 3m is the maximum height achievable with this kit, and that would require you to use the optional base plate set. Using the recommended concrete footing specs (50cm x 50cm) you would end up with a height of 2.5m.

q: does this come with the posts? I am probably reading it wrong.
a: Yes two posts are included.

From pouring the footings to finished took a week (could have done it quicker, but the surf was up). Concrete footings were a problem when I hit hard rock 300mm down, but some drilled holes, reo, and epoxy fixed that. Everything fitted together well. As others have said, clearer instructions would have been helpful, and saved some time - specifically, orientation of the back holders, position of some screws, positioning plastic washer under screw(2) so the caps clip on. Some traps for inexperienced people - eg making sure post height is horizontal. Posts must be square to each other, or the roof beams won't be parallel. (there is some flexibility to allow for small adjustment to this). Assembly should be by someone with some building experience, or mechanical aptitude. However, if anyone has problems, they probably have friends that can help - nothing too hard here. It's was hit by some strong winds a few nights ago, and it hardly noticed. We're very happy with the finished job, and highly recommend this carport. I'd be happy to use it again.

I agree with other comments here. Excellent product, went together well, though clearer instructions would have helped - eg more detailed photos, etc, but it all worked out. Anyone tackling this should have reasonable mechanical or building aptitude - there are some traps for beginners that could be highlighted in the instructions - eg ensuring that the posts are level, and parallel to each other. Putting the black washers on the screws first to secure the plastic mounts (the screw caps clip onto these). I hit rock 300mm down when digging the holes for concrete, so I drilled and inserted reo into the rock with epoxy, as the rock was too hard to jackhammer out. Very happy with the final result.

I am very pleased with the final result. However I found the installation instructions difficult to decipher on several occasions. I think these needs to be developed more thoroughly.

The carport was delivered exactly as requested. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. Post holes were dug one day and posts cemented in and the carport went up the next day ready for the client to park under.

We are in the process of erecting our second carport. First one was a little more difficult due to not so easy to read instructions and with a bit of trial and error with the first one the second one is going up with ease. We are very happy with the end product. Not difficult to erect if instructions were easier. A great product. Happy with the final product

This carport really gave us the WOW factor. Just love it and so do all our friends. It has added value to our property. It was harder to put the top together than expected. Definitely a 2 man job.
